Insurance Approved Door Security With New Union Mortice Lock
Make sure your front door security complies with your home insurance policy with a high security BS3621 approved mortice lock from UNION C-Series.
The UNION 3G114E mortice deadlock has a 5-lever mechanism for advanced security, making it resistant to all forms of attack from screwdriver, drill or saw. The 3G114E is kitemarked and British Standard approved to BS3621, which means its passed rigorous security testing.
As a minimum security requirement, most insurance providers state that British Standard approved locks should be fitted to external doors. An added bonus is that this is likely to reduce your insurance premium. If you don't have British Standard approved locks on your doors, your insurance policy could be invalidated and you may not be able to make a claim, in the event of a burglary.
The 3G114E can be used in conjunction with a nightlatch to make a timber front door insurance compliant.
The 3G114E mortice deadlock is available in a stainless steel or brass finish to complement other door furniture. The mortice lock was previously available from high security specialist Chubb, before the brand was removed from locking products. The lock is now available from UNION in their C-Series High Security range, alongside other famous Chubb mortice locks, padlocks and rim locks.
The 3G114E retails for around £44.44 and is available from builders' merchants, locksmiths and hardware stores nationwide.
